Hope Hicks To Return To The White House As Senior Advisor

Former White House communications director Hope Hicks is expected to return to the White House after a brief two-year hiatus.

She is among President Donald Trump’s most trusted confidants and one of his longest-serving aides.

White House Secretary Stephanie Grisham confirmed that Hicks is set to return to the White House as a senior advisor. She will report to Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law. Hicks will also work alongside White House director of political affairs Brian Jack.

Hicks departed from White House service in March 2018, after holding the post of Trump’s communications director for two years.

Before her service, which started with the 2016 Trump campaign, Hicks had no political experience. She left office one day after giving testimony before the House Intelligence Committee during the Russia Probe. In her statement, she admitted to sometimes telling fabrications in the course of her job as Trump’s communications director.

When Hicks left the post, Trump issued a statement saying that he would miss “having her by my side,” but that he was confident “[that], we will work together again in the future.”

Hicks moved to Los Angeles to assume a senior communications position at Fox.
