GOP Sen. Rand Paul Calls Out ‘Petty’ White House For Disinviting Him To Picnic: ‘The Level Of Immaturity Is Beyond Words’
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) called out White House staff members for rescinding his picnic invitation and described it as “the level of immaturity is beyond words.”
“Every Democrat will be invited, every Republican will be invited, but I will be the only one disallowed to come on the grounds of the White House,” the Kentucky senator said. “I think I’m the first senator in the history of the United States to be uninvited to the White House picnic.”
Paul said the reason behind his exclusion comes from his opposition to President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.” Paul was the only Republican senator to vote “no” on advancing the bill, which would raise the debt by approximately $3 trillion, including interest costs.
“They think they’re afraid of what I’m saying, so they think they’re going to punish me.”

Trump had previously called Paul a “loser” on social media for opposing the bill.
Trump responded to Paul’s statements on his social media site, Truth Social.
“Of course, Senator Rand Paul and his beautiful wife and family are invited to the BIG White House Party tonight. He’s the toughest vote in the history of the U.S. Senate, but why wouldn’t he be?” he wrote. “Besides, it gives me more time to get his Vote on the Great, Big, Beautiful Bill.”
