Republican donor and casino billionaire Miriam Adelson plans to support a super PAC for Donald Trump as he tries to catch his finances up to President Joe Biden‘s.

Adelson will play a big role in funding Preserve America, a pro-Trump super PAC founded during his 2020 reelection campaign. The amount Adelson will donate is unclear, though a person familiar with her plans said the group was expecting to spend more than it did four years ago when she donated $90 million. Her funds accounted for nearly 85% of what the organization raised.

The investment marks a boost for Trump as he plans to bring GOP donors into his campaign. Trump met with Adelson a few times in recent months and has also spoken with her on the phone, according to another person familiar with the situation.

Through the end of April, Biden’s campaign account had $84 million cash on hand, compared to $49 million for Trump.

During the 2020 campaign, Preserve America was run by Chris LaCivita, who is now serving as Trump’s co-campaign manager. Republican strategist Dave Carney will now oversee the organization. He advises Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas) and has previously worked for multiple presidential candidates.

“Joe Biden is ruining our country with higher prices, open borders and weakness abroad,” Carney said in a statement. “We’re going to do everything we can to stop him and return President Trump to the White House to put America First once again.”

Preserve America will be one of many pro-Trump super PACs this election cycle. The primary one has always been MAGA Inc., an organization whose fundraising events Trump has attended and overseen. A more recently created organization is Right for America, which is being funded by Trump’s friend Ike Perlmutter. Former presidential candidate Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Florida) is also helping to raise money for the new PAC.
