Giuliani Accused Of Anti-Semitism For Calling George Soros A ‘Puppet Master’

Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump‘s personal lawyer, took a jab at liberal billionaire and philanthropist, George Soros – claiming that he, Giuliani, is “more of a Jew” than the Holocaust survivor.

Giuliani was raised in a Roman Catholic home on the south shore of Long Island. In an interview with New York Magazine, Giuliani claimed Jewish descent and blasted the billionaire with strife ethnic remarks, which diminished not only the Soros family but all members of Judaism.

Giuliani depicted Soros as a “puppet master.” Giuliani also said that Soros was “an enemy of Israel” and a “horrible human being.” “Don’t tell me I’m anti-Semitic if I oppose him,” Giuliani said. “Soros is hardly a Jew. I’m more of a Jew than Soros is. I probably know more about — he doesn’t go to church, he doesn’t go to religion — synagogue. He doesn’t belong to a synagogue, he doesn’t support Israel, he’s an enemy of Israel. He’s elected eight anarchist DAs in the United States. He’s a horrible human being,” Giuliani continued.

In addition, Giuliani stated that the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, was one of Soros’ puppets.

Yovanovitch, who testified against Trump in the impeachment hearings, claimed that Giuliani forced her out of her job. “He put all four ambassadors there. And he’s employing the FBI agents,” Giuliani said of Soros.

When NBC interviewed Giuliani about his controversial comments, he responded, “I’m more Jewish than half my friends.”

Soros’s foundation reacted to the comments on Twitter.

Soros was born into a well-off Jewish family during the pre-Holocaust era in Budapest, Hungary. As a young teenager, in the height of the Holocaust, the entire Soros family falsified identification documents to evade the horrors of World War II. Soros fled Europe and emigrated to the United States in the 1950s. He then started his own hedge fund in 1970 – and has since utilized his Open Society platform to advocate for and donate billions of dollars to the liberal and Democratic parties.

The CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt, jumped to Soros defense on twitter – tweeting:

On Tuesday, Giuliani stuck to his guns about his conspired theories on the social media platform, Twitter.
