Ginni Thomas, Justice Thomas’s Wife, Urged White House To Overturn 2020 Election Results

Texts from Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows urging him to do what he could to keep then-President Donald Trump in office have been obtained by the House select committee investigating the January 6 riot.

“Help This Great President stand firm, Mark!!! … You are the leader, with him, who is standing for America’s constitutional governance at the precipice,” read a November 10, 2020 text message sent by Thomas. “The majority knows Biden and the Left is attempting the greatest Heist of our History.”

“This is a fight of good versus evil,” Meadows wrote to Thomas on Nov. 24 in another of the 29 texts between the two. “Evil always looks like the victor until the King of Kings triumphs. Do not grow weary in well doing. The fight continues. I have staked my career on it. Well at least my time in DC on it.

Thomas recently made headlines for admitting to attending the early stages of the January 6 rally but noted that she and her husband did not discuss Supreme Court cases and that though they share many of the same ideas, they are separate people with separate opinions and careers. Her statements were made in response to articles from the New York Times and the New Yorker, suggesting that Justice Thomas should recuse himself from cases that deal with issues his wife has involved herself in.

After the messages were released, an attorney for Meadows said that “nothing about the text messages presents any legal issues.”

None of the text messages mention Justice Thomas.
