Giancarlo Granda, Pool Attendant Who Had Affair With Becki Falwell, Says Jerry Falwell Is ‘Relentlessly Harassing’ Him

Giancarlo Granda, the Miami Beach pool boy who engaged in a sexual affair with Becki Falwell, which ended the career of her husband, Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr., claims that the Falwells are “harassing” him.

“I was afraid for a long time and was constantly reminded by the Falwells of how they would come after me if I spoke the truth, which is why it took so long to speak up,” Granda told Fox News.

“Becki [Falwell] approached me and invited me back to their hotel room to have sex while Jerry watched,” Granda said of their first meeting. “After that night, Becki actively pursued me.”

The encounter resulted in an almost decades-long affair that ultimately ended Falwell’s career.

Since the scandal erupted last month, Granda claims that the Falwells have “been relentlessly harassing me and people close to me.”

The evangelical power-couple met and befriended Granda when he was a 20-year-old college student working as a pool attendant at the five-star Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel.

“Their lavish lifestyle consisted of heavy drinking and going to nightclubs, which is strictly prohibited by the honor code that they expect everyone else to follow,” Granda said. He added that Falwell did not believe Liberty’s rules applied to him and frequently exerted his influence to have stories killed and rumors squashed.

Granda also said, in a press statement last month, that Falwell was a “predator.”

Liberty’s executive board of trustees launched an investigation against Falwell last month and forced him to resign after accusations of sexual impropriety surfaced.

Falwell has come under scrutiny in the past for reportedly bragging to colleagues at Liberty about his sex life and the size of his penis.
