Georgia Officials Investigating Rudy Giuliani’s Attempts To Have Fake Electors Appointed

Georgia investigators are looking into Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani‘s conversations with state lawmakers during the fallout of the 2020 election. During his session with Georgia officials, Giuliani spread false theories about the election and asked the lawmakers to appoint new electors. Investigators are seeing if any crimes were committed in these attempts.

Prosecutors created a special purpose grand jury to investigate if Trump and Giuliani broke any Georgia laws during their campaign to overturn election results. Currently, the Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is scrutinizing Giuliani for his attempt at peddling false lies.

The investigation team, led by Willis, has interviewed four people so far. Those testifying have said that they were present as Trump and his allies attempted to overturn the Georgia election results.

State Rep. Bee Nguyen (R-Georgia), who testified before Georgia investigators, told reporters, “It’s very surreal to go back and put together all these moving pieces that led up to the attempt to overturn the results of the election and led up to the aftermath of January 6. It’s very surreal that the Georgia legislature was part of this and that these hearings took place in our legislative body.”
