Former Trump Lawyer Michael Cohen Predicts Trump Will Turn On His Family During Investigation
Former President Donald Trump‘s longtime ex-lawyer Michael Cohen delivered a blunt assessment on Wednesday to Trump’s closest associates – and even the Trump family – as New York investigators tighten the screws on the Trump Organization.
“I think Donald Trump is going to flip on all of them, including his children,” Cohen told MSNBC host Joy Reid. “I really believe that Donald Trump cares for only himself, and he realizes that his goose is cooked.”
Cohen’s remarks followed New York’s Attorney General Letitia James statement that her office is investigating the Trump Organization “in a criminal capacity.”
James is joining forces with the Manhattan district attorney’s office, conducting an investigation into the Trump Organization.

Cohen claimed that Trump would blame Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg and others involved in his finances.
“‘It wasn’t me. It was Allen. It was my accountant. It was the appraiser,'” Cohen said, imitating a potential Trump argument. “It’s never Donald. See, this is the problem. It’s never, ever Donald Trump. It’s always somebody else.”
Cohen then claimed that when investigators start raising questions about the former president’s tax returns, he will blame those closest to him.
“He’s going to turn on his accountant and point the finger,” Cohen said. “He’s going to say, ‘Don Jr. [Trump] handled that, Ivanka [Trump] handled that. Melania [Trump]. Don’t take me. Take Melania.’ He’s going to tell them to take everyone except for himself. That’s just the kind of guy he is.”
