Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis reprimanded high school students for wearing masks.
“Please, take them off. Honestly, it’s not doing anything and we’ve got to stop with this Covid theater. So if you want to wear it, fine, but this is ridiculous.”
“There is no evidence masks make any difference,” a DeSantis press secretary said following the event.

Covid rates have dropped to under five percent in Florida, but there were still 528 deaths over the weekend.
At the event, DeSantis also ridiculed France.
“A lot of other places fold when there’s any type of adversity,” DeSantis said. “Can you imagine if he went into France? Would they put up a fight? Probably not!”
