FBI Finds More Classified Documents In Biden’s Private Home

FBI Investigators found more classified documents in President Joe Biden‘s private Wilmington, Delaware home during a search on Friday. Some of the documents dated back to Biden’s time in the Senate.

The FBI conducted a 13-hour search of the President’s private home – the President voluntarily allowed the agents to look through his property. They found six new documents with classified markings.

The discovery of new documents further escalates the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) inquiry into Biden’s records. The first documents were found in a private office in November 2022. Special Counsel Robert Hur is leading the investigation into Biden.

The documents have complicated messaging around special counsel Jack Smith‘s investigation into documents seized from Donald Trump in Mar-A-Lago. It is also unknown how many private materials Trump improperly had on his personal property.

The classified materials were forcibly taken from Trump after multiple National Archives requests for the material.

Biden has welcomed the FBI inquiry and has turned over all documents found. His administration has asserted multiple times that all documents have been found.

“I think you’re going to find there’s nothing there. I have no regrets,” Biden said on Thursday.

The president’s personal attorney, Bob Bauer, admitted to Friday’s seizure in a statement.

“DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President. DOJ also took for further review personally handwritten notes from the vice-presidential years.”
