Dr. Anthony Fauci said Wednesday that Americans should consider wearing goggles or a face shield to stop the spread of COVID-19.
“If you have goggles or an eye shield, you should use it,” he said.
The nation’s top health adviser claimed that eyes could become as vulnerable as nose or mouth.
“You have mucosa in the nose, mucosa in the mouth, but you also have mucosa in the eye,” he continued. “Theoretically, you should protect all the mucosal surfaces.”
