Former late-night host Jay Leno made an appearance on NBC’s Today show on Tuesday, where he confessed his desire to see “a bit of civility come back” into talk shows. Among his grievances were how “everyone has to know your politics,” and he mentioned how creating jokes about the current president are hard given his outlandish nature.

On Wednesday, Fox & Friends discussed Leno’s Today segment and President Donald Trump happened to watch it. Trump then took to Twitter to complain about the “incredible” level of “one-sided hatred” emitted by late night talk shows. However, Trump stressed they were “number one.”

Trump has a contentious relationship with comics. At a rally last June, Trump insisted he’s capable of laughing at himself before challenging every late night host. He also has a long-running distaste for Saturday Night Live, frequently mocking Alec Baldwin‘s impersonation of him.
