Donald Trump Seemingly Threatens Jack Smith’s ‘Family & Friends’ In Truth Social Post

In his most recent attack on Special Counsel Jack Smith, Donald Trump came very close to crossing a line when he included Smith’s family and friends in his rant.

Smith indicted Trump this month on 37 counts of willful retention of classified national security information. Smith led the investigation into the former president’s misconduct and sat front row while Trump was arrested and arraigned at the Miami federal courthouse, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, and seemingly threatened Smith’s inner circle.

“Could somebody please explain to the deranged, Trump-hating Jack Smith, his family, his friends, that as President of the United States, I come under the Presidential Records Act, as affirmed by the Clinton socks case, not by the psychos’ fantasy of the never used before Espionage Act of 1917?”

Legal experts have raised questions surrounding the severity of Trump’s threats. Some have even likened the former president to a “Mafia boss.”

Trump’s post came hours after the Supreme Court ruled in a case regarding online harassment and intimidation. While he will most likely not be prosecuted for his strew of insults and hate speech over the years, Trump’s frightening presence on social media has garnered a lot of attention in recent weeks.
