Donald Trump Jr. has started a series of fundraisers for Senate Republicans who are up for reelection. He will be helping senators like Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) and John Cornyn (R-Texas).
Cornyn told reporters that because he is the president’s son, “the Trump voters would be pretty fired up. I guess all the Never Trump people would be pretty mad, but that’s kind of where we are.”
This is not Don Jr.’s first time appearing for Republican legislators. He attended 70 events during the 2018 election season for Republican candidates.
Similar to his father, Don Jr. attacks the media and the left on Twitter. Most recently he has compared Rep. Joaquin Castro’s (D-Texas) tweet with the names of Texas Trump donors to the kill list made by the Dayton, Ohio shooter.

Many say that Don Jr. likes to “troll” those who dislike his father but often goes too far. This doesn’t stop Republican lawmakers from accepting his support. Graham said, “he’s out there fighting for his father and his agenda. I think he’d be very helpful to a lot of us.”
Trump Jr. will also attend fundraisers for congressional race candidates such as Rep. Dan Bishop and Gregory Murphy (R-North Carolina), and Gov. Matt Bevin (R-Kentucky).
The president’s son has reportedly raised $2.5 million in two days for Sen. Steve Daines (R-Montana) at a fundraiser in New York.
But Trump Jr.’s fundraising is not worrying Democrats like Sen. Gary Peters (D-Michigan), who said he is not “intimidated” by him.
Many analysts believe that Don Jr. is preparing to run for president himself in 2024.
