Donald Trump Accuses Meghan Markle Of ‘Using’ Prince Harry

Former President Donald Trump believes that Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has been “disrespectful” toward Queen Elizabeth II and that she has been “using” Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, as means to achieving mischievous ends.

In an interview with Nigel Farage set to air on Wednesday night on GB News in England, Trump, who has no relationship with the couple or stake in their marriage, berated Markle.

“I’m not a fan of hers. I wasn’t from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly and I think someday he will regret it,” Trump groaned.

“I think Harry’s been used and been used terribly. I think it’s ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen,” he continued, adding that the 95-year-old monarch is “such a great woman, such a great person, a historic person.”

Trump was incensed over Markle having written to Congress on paper with “Duchess of Sussex” letterhead last month to promote paid leave, a move that upset conservatives.

“She is trying to do things that I think are very inappropriate,” he said, presumably referring to rumors that began circulating in March that Markle was interested in running for president of the United States in 2024, which Trump mused would motivate him to run against her.

“Well, I hope that happens because if that happened, then I think I’d have an even stronger feeling toward running,” Trump said at the time to Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo. “I’m not a fan of hers. I think that what she talks about the royal family and the Queen — I happen to think, I know the Queen, as you know. I’ve met with the queen and I think the Queen is a tremendous person. And I’m not a fan of Meghan.”

Last September, Trump told reporters at a White House press briefing that “I’m not a fan of hers” and that “I would say this — and she probably has heard that — but I wish a lot of luck to Harry, because he’s gonna need it.”

And when the couple announced in February 2021 that they were leaving their royal duties to pursue a more normal life, Trump tweeted that “I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!”
