Democratic National Convention Announces Speakers’ Schedule

The Democratic National Convention planning committee announced the line-up for speakers on Tuesday for next week’s nominating convention for Joe Biden. The event will feature Michelle Obama, Bernie Sanders and Barack Obama

The convention originally was planned to take place in Milwaukee but now will be in a virtual format from Monday, Aug. 17, to Thursday, Aug. 20. The event will be live-streamed on social networks, as well as on the DNC’s website.

Biden explained the decision to move the convention to online live-stream while talking at a recent fundraising event.

“I’ve wanted to set an example as to how we should respond individually to this crisis,” Biden said. “From the start of the process, we’ve made it clear…. Science matters.”
