On Wednesday, President Donald Trump visited victims of the Dayton, Ohio shooting at their hospital.
His social media director, Dan Scavino, wasted no time in bragging about how popular the president was with the patients. He tweeted, “The President was treated like a Rock Star inside the hospital, which was all caught on video. They all loved seeing their great President!”
Scavino also took the time to call Dayton’s Mayor Nan Whaley (D) and Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), who thanked Trump for his visit, “disgraceful politicians, doing nothing but politicizing a mass shooting, at every turn they can.” The pair had called on the president to act on gun control legislation.

Trump also took to Twitter to post about his visit, where he too said the two politicians were “misrepresenting what took place inside the hospital.” Calling a press conference by Brown and Whaley a “fraud.”
Many took to social media to express their disbelief that the President’s “rock star” status was being touted after two deadly shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio that left 31 people dead.
