Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls COVID Vaccine Passports ‘Biden’s Mark Of The Beast’

Controversial Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) has come out against the idea of a potential vaccine passport.

President Joe Biden signed an executive order in January to expedite vaccine shots.

The idea behind passports is to grant Americans who have received a vaccine entrance to businesses and venues that were closed during the pandemic.

“They are actually talking about people’s ability to buy and sell linked to the vaccine passport,” Greene tweeted on Monday. “They might as well call it Biden’s Mark of the Beast.”

The phrase “Mark of the Beast” is a reference to Satan or the Antichrist. Receiving the COVID-19 vaccine has been compared to pledging allegiance to the devil on some anti-vaccine websites.

Andy Slavitt, the acting director for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, spoke on the government’s interest in a passport during a White House COVID-19 briefing. “The government here is not viewing its role as the place to create a passport, nor a place to hold the data of citizens. We view this as something that the private sector is doing and will do. What’s important to us, and we’re leading an interagency process right now to go through these details, are that some important criteria be met with these credentials.”

Greene continued to post on Twitter about the passports, calling it “corporate communism and encouraging Georgia to be the next state to ban them, behind Florida.

“The private companies that do not mandate vaccine passports will have more customers and money than they can comprehend,” Greene said in her tweet. The Corporate Communists will be committing HIPPA violations and will have more lawsuits than they can comprehend,” referring to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
