Cruz Says Cancún Vacation Was ‘Obviously A Mistake’ Amid Calls For Resignation

On Thursday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) spoke to reporters about his sudden trip to Cancún while his state is still suffering from historic blackouts and blizzards. Cruz admitted that his choice to leave Texas was “obviously a mistake.”

In the background of Cruz’s maskless interview, a crowd shouts “resign!” repeatedly. Protestors also gathered outside the Senator’s home Thursday with large signs spelling “RESIGN.”
