House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) and White House negotiators failed to agree on a new package of coronavirus relief measures on Friday. The sides were said to be trillions apart in the size of the packages they are seeking.
Following the meeting, President Donald Trump warned that he is willing to order executive action if the negotiation continues to reach an impasse.
“If Democrats continue to hold this critical relief hostage, I will act under my authority as president to get Americans the relief they need,” Trump told reporters.
Trump further attacked Pelosi for pursuing policies that are “radical left.”
