WASHINGTON, DC - JUNE 03: U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) questions former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein at hearing of the Judiciary Committee on Capitol Hill on June 03, 2020 in Washington, DC. The Republican-led panel is exploring issues raised with warrants issued in the FBI investigation, code named Crossfire Hurricane at the time, of Trump campaign officials in the 2016 presidential race.
Michael Fanone, a former police officer who rioters badly beat during the Capitol riot, called Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) a “b—-” during an interview.
Fanone’s comments were captured on video by a reporter outside of the hearings.
“Josh Hawley is a b—-,” the former Capitol Police officer said. “He is a f—– b—-.”
“The fistbump, combined with what he did in the immediate aftermath, shows his character,” Fanone continued.

When a video of Hawley running away played, the committee chamber burst into laughter.
Fanone continued to say that “that guy’s a clown” after being asked about the audience’s reaction to Hawley running away.
“You see the way that these guy’s perform in public, and then you see how they are in reality,” Fanone said. “In reality, they have no character, they have no honor, and they have no integrity.”
