Caitlyn Jenner Goes To Border Wall In Recall Effort Oust Gov. Gavin Newsom

Back from taping Big Brother VIP in Australia, Caitlyn Jenner is rebooting her efforts in the Sept. 14 California recall election.

Jenner, who made a public appearance in Venice wearing a “Caitlyn for California” polo shirt, spoke about homelessness. “I’m a results-based person,” she said. “I live for results. Right now, with the homeless issue, it’s all about money and special interests, but it’s not about results.”

Though she did not detail any specific policy plans, Jenner did say she would suspend restrictions on affordable housing as well as call on nonprofits and churches to help homeless populations.

Despite her recent return, Jenner’s chances of ousting Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) are slim. Jenner’s campaign has raised less than $1 million so far. And, according to a recent state filing, her campaign is actually in debt.

Additionally, Jenner consistently finishes behind other GOP candidates in recent polls.

She also has not received any help from the Kardashian clan, whose combined net worth is around $2 billion.

When asked if she has pursued any money-making ventures connected to her campaign, Jenner responded: “I’ve never worked so hard for nothing in my life. I had a prior commitment in Australia that was before this campaign even started. And unlike most politicians, I actually honor my contracts.”

“I do have a job,” she said. “I think that every candidate that is running in this recall has a job. Yeah, I went down there. I stayed in touch with my campaign people. There was only one week when I was out of touch, because I was actually filming the show. And made sure I came back with five weeks to go.”

On Sunday, Jenner headed to the U.S.-Mexico border before visiting Orange County and regions “up north, all the way to the fires.”

“I’m going to be touring the state, meeting the great people who are fighting these great fights,” she said.
