Biden’s Reelection Campaign Raises Over $71 Million, Outpacing Entire GOP Field Combined

President Joe Biden‘s reelection campaign has announced that they have managed to raise more money than the combined funds of the entire Republican field – and also twice the amount that former President Donald Trump has on hand.

The Biden campaign reported a massive $72 million haul in the second quarter of the year, with $77 million in cash readily available. This gives them a clear advantage over their rival.

The money collected during this period is similar to the amount of $72 million that was raised by Biden and the Democratic party in the previous quarter. However, the duration of April to June was shorter by 25 days, as Biden had only started his campaign in late April.

This achievement of the president’s campaign may have forced Trump to issue a video appeal requesting more funds ahead of the Q3 FEC reporting deadline.

Despite facing doubts about his age, Biden, 80, is pushing energetically for another term.

Recent polls have shown concern about his age and a lack of enthusiasm among Democratic voters. His campaign, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, plans to utilize the funds to hire personnel, organize in key states and initiate advertising efforts.

Although Trump has significant legal issues, most polls consistently indicate that Trump and Biden are closely matched, typically falling within the margin of error.
