Bidens’ Dog, Champ Biden, Has Died ‘Peaceful At Home’ At 13
President Joe Biden and the First Lady Jill Biden released a statement on Saturday revealing that Champ, their 13-year-old German Shepherd, has died “peacefully at home.”
“Our hearts are heavy today as we let you all know that our beloved German Shepard, Champ, passed away peacefully at home,” Biden and first lady said in a joint statement on Twitter. “He was our constant, cherished companion during the last 13 years and was adored by the entire Biden family,”
Biden first met Champ shortly after he was elected vice president in 2008. The German Shepard spent nearly a decade in the White House.
“In our most joyful moments and in our most grief-stricken days, he was there with us, sensitive to our every unspoken feeling and emotion,” the Bidens added.
The Bidens are set to welcome a cat to the White House soon.
