President Joe Biden’s administration plans to drop former President Donald Trump’s “showerhead” rule, which sought to loosen restrictions on showerhead water flow.
The Energy Department announced on Friday that it will move forward with its plan to tighten showerhead efficiency regulations.
Late last year, the “Trump rule” sought to bypass a requirement that allows no more than 2.5 gallons to flow through a showerhead per minute.
Trump commented on his limited “rinsing ability” due to showerhead efficiency standards. “Showerheads — you take a shower, the water doesn’t come out,” the former president observed. “You want to wash your hands, the water doesn’t come out. So what do you do? You just stand there longer or you take a shower longer? Because my hair — I don’t know about you, but it has to be perfect. Perfect.”
