Biden Says Trump’s Claim That George Floyd Would Be Happy About Economy Is ‘Despicable’

President Donald Trump said on Friday that despite George Floyd‘s death and the ongoing protest, he is happy to bring the good news on the economy with the unemployment rate in the United States falling to 13.3% despite COVID-19.

“Hopefully, George is looking down right now and saying this is a great thing that is happening for our country. This is a great day for him. It’s a great day for everybody.” Trump said during the press conference Friday. “This is a great, great day in terms of equality.”

Trump asserted that a strong economy for the nation is the remedy for racial inequality in the United States. “That’s what my plan is. We’re going to have the strongest economy in the world,” Trump replied when asked about his plan to solve the concerns of the protesters.

In response to Trump’s bizarre “great day” comment, former Vice President Joe Biden slammed the president.
