Former Vice President Joe Biden said he’ll wear a mask in public, contrasting President Donald Trump’s decision to not do so.
“It’s important to follow the science. Listen to the experts. Do what they tell you,” he said on ABC’s “This Week.” “So if I go out in public — and I haven’t gone to commercial places of late, I haven’t gone to my local church, etc. … My generic point is, you should follow the science.”
This comes after the Center for Disease Control and Prevention suggested Americans wear nonsurgical face coverings in public. “We now know from recent studies that a significant portion of individuals … can transmit the virus to others before showing symptoms. This means that the virus can spread between people interacting in close proximity — for example, speaking, coughing, or sneezing,” the CDC said in a statement.
