President Joe Biden is leading Donald Trump in presidential polls for the first time since October, according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s (DDHQ) latest average of polls.
Biden is ahead of the former president by 0.1%. He is polling at 45% support to Trump’s 44.9%.
May 5 marked six months before Election Day, and a new poll from I&I/TIPP Insights put Biden two points ahead of Trump. A poll from Reuters/Ipsos showed him at one point ahead, and a new one from ABC News/Ipsos showed him one point ahead.
When independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy was included in the polling, Trump had a 1.1% lead in The Hill/DDHQ average of polls. The 144 polls included in the average gave Trump 41.2% support, Biden 40.1%, and Kennedy 8.5%.
