President Joe Biden has refused to accept former President Donald Trump‘s executive privilege claim over a batch of documents that Trump attempted to prevent from being turned over to the House Jan. 6 Committee, igniting yet another clash between the 45th and 46th presidents.
“President Biden has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not in the best interests of the United States, and therefore is not justified,” said a letter from White House Counsel Dana Remus. “Accordingly, President Biden does not uphold the former President’s assertion of privilege.”
The current feud comes as Trump is reportedly planning a 2024 political comeback.
