Biden Calls Trump ‘A Felon’ At Event With The Clintons That Raises $8 Million

President Joe Biden (D) raised $8 million at a fundraiser in Virginia alongside former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State and First Lady Hillary Clinton.

Since Friday, the Biden campaign reports raising more than $40 million. The Tuesday fundraiser was held at the home of former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) and had 450 in attendance.

During the event, Biden spoke to attendees about the dangers of former President Donald Trump winning another term in office.

“The next president could have possibly two or more Supreme Court justices in the next four years. That would mean if Trump wins, there will be five or more [appointed by Trump] …Supreme Court Justices that can determine the future in decades to come,” Biden said. “We can’t let that happen.”

The president also called Trump “a felon,” which has become a staple of his campaign. The Biden campaign has leaned into reminding voters of Trump’s conviction of 34 felony charges that he was convicted of last month.

“Folks, for the first time in American history, a former president is a convicted felon and is now seeking the office of the presidency,” Biden said.

This event follows a star-studded campaign event in Los Angeles, which former President Barrack Obama and numerous celebrities attended and garnered $30 million for the Biden campaign.
