President Joe Biden addressed the nation to discuss the presidential election results on Thursday, praising Kamala Harris’ character and effort during the campaign.
Footage released by The White House shows Biden delivering his remarks in the Rose Garden in Washington, D.C., on Thursday afternoon. “She gave her whole heart and effort,” Biden said of Harris. “She and her entire team should be proud of the campaign they ran.”
Harris conceded her loss to Republican opponent Donald Trump on Nov. 6.
Biden added that there will be a “peaceful transfer of power” on January 20, 2025.
