Ben Carson Tests Positive For COVID-19 After Attending White House Election Party

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. The news was first reported by his former presidential campaign adviser, Armstrong Williams, via Twitter.

Carson is one of many members of President Donald Trump’s administration to have contracted COVID-19. His exposure and infection with the virus could possibly be linked to an event on election night last week, where many guests were in attendance and several have since tested positive, include chief of staff Mark Meadows. Many guests did not have masks, and most did not observe social distancing.

Carson, like most of Trump’s team, has not commented on the outcome of the election, as Democrat Joe Biden was declared winner on Saturday. Trump has refused to accept the results of the election, and has already begun to take legal action, as well as demanding recounts and reviews.
