U.S. Attorney General William Barr on Monday announced that he doesn’t expect the Department Of Justice (DOJ) to investigate either Barack Obama or Joe Biden regarding the Russia probe.
“As to President Obama and Vice President Biden, whatever their level of involvement, based on the information I have today, I don’t expect Mr. Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man,” Barr said at a press conference. “Our concern over potential criminality is focused on others.”
President Donald Trump has been asking the department to subpoena Obama regarding the Russian investigation.
The president believes that Obama initiated a conspiracy that led to the Muller probe, which Trump calls “Obamagate.”

On May 14, Trump requested that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), who’s the chair of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, bring Obama to testify.
“If I were a Senator or Congressman, the first person I would call to testify about the biggest political crime and scandal in the history of the USA, by FAR, is former President Obama. He knew EVERYTHING. Do it [Lindsey Graham], just do it. No more Mr. Nice Guy. No more talk!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
Barr replaced by the former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who met up with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak twice in 2016 before the election, one of the incidents that sparked the Muller probe.
