Trump ally Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake trailed in the polls on Tuesday night, and it didn’t take her long to start blaming the electoral system.
Lake, who is endorsed by former President Donald Trump, is still in a contentious battle with lawyer Karrin Taylor Robson, who is endorsed by most other prominent Republicans to become the Republican candidate for governor.
When she was trailing, she began claiming election fraud. It reminded followers of the race of Trump’s action after he lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden. However, by Wednesday morning, she was narrowly leading Robson.
Lake refused to provide evidence to substantiate her claims.

“There is no path to victory for my opponent, and we won this race, period,” Lake said claiming victory though the race has still not been officially called.
“But there’s a ton of problems with the system,” the candidate warned. “We are going to win this when the votes are counted. We are not going to take our election systems being this messed up.”
On Thursday morning, Lake’s official campaign Twitter account confirmed that the candidate is looking ahead to the general election in November.
“We have moved on to planning and strategizing for the general at @KariLake HQ,” the Kari Lake War Room Twitter account said on Thursday morning. “The only ones pretending this race isn’t over is our corrupt media, desperate to keep the @AZGOP weak & divided.”
“We will not play along,” the statement added. “All of our energy is focused on defeating @katiehobbs.”
Far-right pundits such as MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell supported Lake, adding that there was election fraud, but Lake was so popular that she still won in spite of it.
