Trump Ally 'The New York Post' Blasts President's False Claims: 'Stop The Insanity' (Image: NY Post)
The New York Post, a tabloid with a history of spouting anti-mask sentiments, informed its employees earlier this month that they are requiring them to wear masks in the office, according to a staff memo.
Sean Giancola, publisher and chief executive of the tabloid, sent the following message to staff members in an August 12 memo: “Masks are required while walking the floor/not at your desk.”
According to a file attached to the memo, employees should “mask up” and “cover [their] face when away from [their] desk or chatting with colleagues.”
This mask mandate may come as a surprise, seeing as the Post has described the CDC’s masking recommendations as “madness.”

In fact, when the CDC announced it July that it was recommending vaccinated people living in “substantial” and “high” transmission areas to wear masks, the Post‘s editorial board wrote: “This is nonsense — and pernicious, too.”
Additionally, in a July 7 article, the editorial board encouraged businesses to do away with mask mandates: “[it’s] time to scrap the mandate for masks on trains and buses.”
The board called mask mandates for public transportation “pointless and performative.”
