Ann Coulter Tells Nikki Haley ‘Go Back To Your Own Country’

“Why don’t you go back to your own country?” said Ann Coulter, in reference to newly announced presidential candidate Nikki Haley, during an appearance this week on The Mark Simone Show.

Haley, a conservative Republican, is of Indian descent but was born in South Carolina.

“What’s with the worshipping of the cows? They’re all starving over there. Did you know they have a rat temple, where they worship rats?”—an apparent reference to traditional Hindu religious practices.

Coulter’s primary gripe with Haley seemed to be her 2015 decision to remove the Confederate flag as South Carolina’s governor after a racially motivated shooting inside a predominately black church in Charleston—a massacre that left nine African Americans dead.

“Her candidacy did remind me that I need to immigrate to India so I can demand they start taking down parts of their history,” she sarcastically remarked.

Haley is quite conservative on the topic of immigration. As Donald Trump‘s ambassador to the United Nations, Haley defended the president’s decision to ban immigration from six Muslim-majority countries.

“It’s not a Muslim ban. I will never support a Muslim ban,” Haley said at the time.

Although Coulter no longer supports Trump, her racist remarks do resemble similar sentiments expressed by the former president several years back.

In 2019, after facing criticism from four left-wing congresswomen of color, Trump told them to “go back” to the countries they came from.

The congresswomen, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota), Rep Rashida Tlaib (D-Michigan) and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Massachusetts) are all American citizens like Haley. All but Omar were born in the United States.
