Adam Johnson, Who Stole Pelosi’s Lectern At Capitol Riot, Throws Party Before Prison Sentence

Capitol rioter Adam Johnson threw a going to prison party after he was sentenced to 75 days in federal lockup.

Before surrendering to the authorities and serving 75 days in prison for his role in the January 6 insurrection where he was famously photographed taking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi‘s lectern.

The party was held at Caddy’s Brandenton, a restaurant in Brandenton, Florida. Johnson took to Facebook with the invite: “come help me celebrate my last Friday of freedom before I go to prison for the lamest charge in history.”

Johnson pleaded guilty in November to one count of entering or remaining in a restricted building which was part of his plea deal. Last month, Senior U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton sentenced Johnson to 75 days in federal prison.

When released, Johnson will be on probation for a year and will have to complete 200 hours of community service pay $5,000 in fines and $500 in restitution which will go to repay the millions in damage done to the Capitol. During his hearing, Johnson claimed he was remorseful for his actions.

“I am not trying to shy away from the things I did,” he said.

Judge Walton said, “you seemed to have thought it was a fun event to be involved in.”
