Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that as of September 8, 75% of adults in the country now have taken at least their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the data from the agency, 193,798,688 adults have received at least their first shot as of Tuesday morning, with 165,947,460 adults, or 64.3% of the entire adult population in the United States, are fully inoculated.
“Sunday-Tuesday just in: +1.51M doses reported administered over Saturday’s total, including 681K newly vaccinated and 105K additional doses. As usual, lower reporting over the holiday weekend. Just hit 75% of adults with at least one dose!” White House COVID-19 data director Cyrus Shahpar shared the CDC data in his tweet.
