Early Nov. 6, Donald Trump’s son, Barron Trump, proudly accompanied his family on stage at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate to celebrate the Republican presidential victory.

Barron, who is 18 and six feet nine inches, stood out in a black suit and striped tie.

A freshman at NYU Business School, Barron was seen voting for the first time on Tuesday in a picture shared by his mother, Melania.

Despite the focus on his father, Barron remained a distracting presence on the stage as he towered over Trump, who is already America’s tallest president to date, standing at six foot four. So distracting was Barron’s height, in fact, the mere topic inspired a slew of articles focused solely on his physical stance, written just hours after his father’s speech.

In his speech this morning, Trump, 78, attributed Barron’s impressive height to Melania’s late mother; “[Melania’s parents] are great people, great parents to all of us really. Great parents, but also to Barron. Boy, did [Melania’s mother] take care of Barron. That’s how he got so tall – he only ate her food.”

Trump praised his son’s encouragement in the days before the election: “He’s very wise.”

Trump has previously admitted that although Barron is “a good-looking guy,” he has not had much romantic success. Last month, Trump exposed his son’s relationship status to interviewer Patrick Bet-David, saying, “No, I’m not sure he’s – I don’t think he’s had a girlfriend yet.”

Voting statistics from this year show that most college-educated women voted for Kamala Harris, while most college-age men voted for Trump. NYU is a notoriously liberally dominated school.
