Rudy Giuliani, former President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, is in desperate need of financial aid with millions of dollars in legal debt due to lawsuits over his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
The former mayor turned himself in on August 24, on charges he committed fraud in his efforts to overturn Trump’s 2020 presidential election loss in Georgia.
As a way to aid Giuliani, Trump held a fundraiser at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club on September 7. Each guest who attended the fundraiser paid $100,000 per head. This fundraiser is one of two that Trump is hosting in Giuliani’s name.
Giuliani’s son, Andrew Giuliani, told WABC Radio that Trump will be hosting the next fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago in the winter. Andrew expressed gratitude for the fundraiser but noted that it “won’t be enough to get through this.”

Some of the donors include deputies, politicians and high-dollar donors who have worked on Giuliani’s previous political campaigns.
The former mayor reportedly has not personally asked Trump for financial help.
Giuliani has already racked up millions in attorney fees from numerous court cases he’s involved in.
Andrew fears fundraisers will not be sufficient to fully pay his father’s debt but said it allows his father to have fair representation to “be able to have the resources necessary to put a team together to fight against what many of us see as political prosecutions.”
