Despite contracting COVID-19 in March of this year, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) said she would get the vaccine “over my dead body.”
Appearing at the conservative conference Americafest, Palin called on others to “stiffen their spines” and resist vaccine mandates. In addition, she criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci, calling him inconsistent.
“There is an empowerment in a group like this where we can kind of feed off each other,” she said.
“Those of us who have had COVID, they’re telling us that even though we’ve had it — we have natural immunity — now that we still have to get a shot. It’ll be over my dead body that I get a shot. I will not. I won’t do it and they better not touch my kids either.”

Research by the CDC as well as myriad studies have shown all Covid-19 vaccinations authorized in the U.S. protect against the virus.
Here’s what Palin said in March when she caught the disease:
“Through it all, I view wearing that cumbersome mask indoors in a crowd as not only allowing the newfound luxury of being incognito but trust it’s better than doing nothing to slow the spread. I strongly encourage everyone to use common sense to avoid spreading this and every other virus out there.”
