VIDEO: Harris Vows To Put ‘Country Above Party’ In Front Of 75,000 People At The Ellipse

Vice President Kamala Harris vowed to put “country above party and above self” as she made her final pitch to voters on Tuesday at The Ellipse in Washington, D.C.

Harris said The Ellipse was the location where former President Donald Trump wanted to “overturn the will of the people,” on January 6, 2021. She contrasted herself against Trump, saying she would bring a to-do list to the White House rather than an “enemies list.”

She vowed to “proudly sign” a bill restoring reproductive freedom nationwide if Congress sends her one as president.

“I will fight to restore what Donald Trump and his hand-selected Supreme Court justices took away from the women of America,” she said.

Harris used her closing argument speech to say voters are “not a vessel for the schemes of wannabe dictators.”

“The United States of America is the greatest idea humanity ever devised,” Harris said. “In seven days, we have the power, each of you has the power, to turn the page, and start writing the next chapter in the most extraordinary story ever told,” she added.
