Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, urged Wisconsin lawmakers to overturn President Joe Biden‘s 2020 win, according to newly released emails obtained under a public-records law.

In an email to a Wisconsin state senator and state representative on November 9, 2020, she wrote: “Please stand strong in the face of media and political pressure. Please reflect on the awesome authority granted to you by our constitution. And then please take action to ensure that a clean slate of electors is chosen for our state.”

The email marks the second time her communications with state legislators revealed she approached them about overturning election results. A previous email revealed that she sent a similar email to lawmakers in Arizona.

Thomas has not yet been subpoenaed by the House select committee that has been investigating the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack and all the events leading up to that day.

Calls for the Supreme Court justice to recuse himself have been loud, but Justice Thomas has declined to address where he stands.
