Attorney Sidney Powell, who has consistently denied President Joe Biden’s 2020 electoral victory, claims former President Donald Trump “can simply be reinstated” to the presidency. Powell has also filed numerous election challenges on behalf of the former president.

Powell spoke at the “For God & Country Patriot Roundup” conference, attended by followers of QAnon, in Dallas last weekend. Michael Flynn, the former Trump national security who has also promoted conspiracy theories and misinformation about the election, also spoke at the event.

During her speech, Powell said: “He can simply be reinstated. And Biden is told to move out of the White House. And President Trump should be moved back in. I’m sure there’s not going to be credit for time lost, unfortunately. Because the Constitution itself sets the date for inauguration. But he should definitely get the remainder of his term and make the best of it. That’s for sure.”

Her remarks were met with cheering from the crowd.

She also suggested that Trump should have worked harder to maintain his presidency. “He had all the tools he needed,” she said. “From the day after the election, everyone else around him at the White House was telling him to just pack it up and go home.”

After his election loss in November, Trump received legal counsel from Powell and asked her to formally represent his campaign in court challenges.

However, Trump eventually dismissed Powell and publicly declared that she was not a part of his legal team after she was mocked for making bizarre, illogical claims.

Nonetheless, Powell went on to independently file election challenges in key battleground states.

Her lawsuits failed in state and federal courts, even when presented to judges appointed by Trump himself.

Additionally, former Attorney General William Barr, a loyal supporter of Trump for many years, claimed that there was “no evidence” of election fraud.

Powell is now facing a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems, a company that Powell accused of rigging the election in Biden’s favor. In response to the lawsuit, Powell’s attorney’s said “reasonable people would not accept [Powell’s beliefs] as fact.”
