Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former President Donald Trump, posted a picture on social media Thursday sharing that she had just been vaccinated against COVID-19. The post’s comment section soon filled with a surprising number of objectors who condemned Ivanka’s action.

“Today, I got the shot!!! I hope that you do too! Thank you Nurse Torres!!!” Ivanka wrote in her post. He photo shows the new Florida resident receiving a shot. Ivanka confirmed in a later statement that her dose was the Pfizer- BioNTech vaccine

“Nope not putting that in my body,” reads a comment below her post. Another comment read, “Ugh. A vaccine for a HOAX?”

“No thanks! With a 99% survival rate, I shall pass,” another comment read. “With Bill Gates involved I will not get one.”

The waterfall of vaccine doubt below Ivanka’s post highlights a successful strategy of the elder Trump. The former president was vaccinated in secret in January, so as to not upset vaccine skeptics among his followers. Trump mocked wearing masks by until well after the CDC recommended masks for the general public.
