White House Staffers Told To Start Cleaning Out Their Offices, Then To Stay Put

White House staffers are receiving conflicting messages about their departure instructions. First staffers received an email telling them that they would need to leave by January 4 to make way for in the incoming Biden administration. The White House Management Office sent Trump administration workers an internal memo via email on Tuesday night.

The email contained detailed instructions on vacating specific offices and gave a date of Jan. 4 for the executive-level employees to leave by.

Information on the departure process, contained in the email included several steps from “emptying your desk and cabinets” to “cleaning out your refrigerator and microwave” as well as “returning all White House stationery.’

NEW: Despite Trump’s fight to stay, last night White House staff received a detailed email from his exec. office with directions on the departing process. Employees will start leaving the week of 01/04.

The email also said that staff “will start departing” the week of January 4 and that final paychecks would run through January 19.

By Wednesday morning, however, the office sent another email notifying aides to “disregard” the earlier memo and that “updated information would be shared in the coming days.”

These contradicting internal memos were wreaking havoc inside the White House. President Donald Trump continues to contest the results of the November election despite losing all of his court challenges.
