Trump Has Played Golf 248 Days Of His Presidency, Twice As Often As Obama
President Donald Trump has been playing golf almost twice as much as Former President Barack Obama had at the same point of his mandate.
Earlier this week, Trump was harshly criticized for playing golf in the middle of a pandemic that is ravaging America.
Just today, Johns Hopkins announced that the COVID-19 death toll in the US had surpassed 100,000.
On Sunday and Monday, Trump lashed out at the media for being “sick with hatred and dishonesty,” mentioning how they never covered Obama’s golfing habits and are now criticizing him.

Trump attacked reporters for overlooking “all of the time Obama spent on the golf course, often flying to Hawaii in a big, fully loaded 747, to play.”
“What did that do to the so-called Carbon Footprint?” he asked in one of the five enraged tweets.
However, the numbers disagree. As of today, Trump’s trips to his Mar-a-Lago Club and golf court in Florida significantly outnumbered those that Obama took to Hawaii with his family once a year.
At the same point during his presidency, Obama played 98 rounds of golf, CNN reported. Trump, instead, spent approximately 248 days at his golf course, a number more than twice as high as Obama’s.
As for both presidents’ carbon footprint, an estimate of the miles they traveled by air was just released. Over the same amount of time in the White House as Trump, Obama took three trips to his native state of Hawaii, traveling roughly 29,978 miles in the air. Trump, instead, flew to his club in Mar-a-Lago for a whopping 30 times, reaching 51,140 miles of air travel.
On average, Obama played golf every 8.77 days, while Trump avails himself of his club once every 4.92 days thus far in his presidency.
