Rudy Giuliani Meets With Ukraine Official To Encourage Him To Investigate Joe Biden
Former New York mayor and President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani said that he met with a Ukrainian official to discuss former Vice President Joe Biden’s role in the dismissal of a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Biden’s son.
Giuliani’s decision to meet with this official is another open push to investigate the president’s rivals. He has asked the Ukrianian leaders to investigate a phone call that Biden had where he allegedly asked them to remove one of their prosecutors. The prosecutor was investigating a natural gas company that had ties with Biden’s son.
In May the Ukraine Prosecutor General told Bloomberg that he did not feel Biden was doing anything wrong. Political leaders from other countries had asked for the same.
Giuliani said that a lawyer, Andriy Yermak, who works with Ukraine’s president, wanted to meet with him.

The two spoke over the phone twice and met in Spain last month.
When they met, Giuliani said Yermak asked many questions but he did not. They focused on what Biden’s role in the dismissal was and if the Ukraine did anything to disrupt the Trump campaign.
Giuliani said that the meeting was done on his own accord and he was not asked to do anything by the president.
In May, Giuliani was contemplating visiting the Ukraine to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky. He wanted to get the Ukrainians on board his idea to investigate Biden, but decided not to go claiming that it would not accomplish much and might be “misinterpreted.”
