Michael Cohen Responds To Scathing ‘National Enquirer’ Story
Days after the National Enquirer — whose publisher, David Pecker, is close friends with President Donald Trump — published a front page story with the headline “Trump Fixer’s Secrets & Lies,” Michael Cohen responded.
When CNN asked Trump’s personal lawyer whether he thought a message was being sent, Cohen told CNN, “What do you think.”
A source close to the President told CNN that the story could be indicative of Trump’s dwindling trust in Cohen, saying Pecker wouldn’t have published the story without approval from Trump.
Cohen is under investigation for his payment of $130,000 to adult film star Stormy Daniels — whose real name is Stephanie Clifford — to keep her silent about her alleged 2011 affair with Trump. The FBI raided his home, hotel and office several weeks ago.
