Madison Cawthorn won Mark Meadows' seat in North Carolina at just 25 years old, becoming the first member of the House at the minimum age requirement since 1975. Cawthorn, whose opponent for the district in the primary was backed by both Meadows and Trump, was confirmed the victor by the Associated Press. "I have condemned racism and identity politics throughout my campaign," stated Cawthorn in response. The post attacked Sen. Cory Booker (D-New Jersey) for targeting "white males running for office." Cawthorn claims he did not have knowledge of the post, and that someone on his team had posted it without asking him first.
